Barbara Jean Huffman was born in Tuscon, Arizona. She did not live there long though
before moving to San Francisco, where she attended Abraham Lincoln Highschool in 1949.
Barbara was in many plays as a child. When she was a teenager, she was a cheerleader
in highschool and then she sang in nightclubs. She realized that
this was not what she wanted to do, so she moved to Hollywood. Barbara got a part as
a regular on Johnny Carson at first. Then in 1958, she married Michael Ansara and moved
to a ranch in Sherman Oaks. She then got the role as Jeannie in "I Dream of Jeannie",
in 1965. Also that year, she had her son Matthew Micheal Ansara.

In 1971, Barbara had a few different things happen to her. First, she lost her baby
that she was pregnant with for seven months. Second, her and Larry Hagman were reunited
in the movie "Howling in the Woods". And thirdly, her and Ansara broke up and got a
divorce in 1972. In 1974, Barbara almost got the show "The Barbara Eden Show", where
she would have played a toy designer, but the networks wouldn't buy it. In the late
70's, she married Chicago news reporter, Charles Fegert, but got a divorce in 1982.
Shortly after that she met Jon Eicholtz, a real-estate developer.

In 1985, Barbara was in the TV movie sequel "I Dream of Jeannie". It included Wayne
Roger, Bill Daily, and Hayden Rorke. Besides the different Major Nelson(Larry Hagman
was too busy doing "Dallas"), another difference was that Barbara was allowed to show
her naval that time. In 1990-91, Barbara was once again reunited with Hagman when she
joined the final season of the TV show "Dallas". In 1991, she was in the TV movie "I
Still Dream of Jeannie". Barbara currently lives in Beverly Hills with her husband, Jon.

Barbara has been in other television and movie appearances since then as well,
including a spot in the movie, "A Very Brady Sequel".
